PS - Pompey are away to Rochdale on the 29th, so traffic issues reduced.

It transpires that the army of my choice fight against others I have (so probably gives the game away there then). Peter Well, like the advert used to say, “ you KNOW when you’ve been Tang(o)’d ....”. (maybe??)

i dont have them Im not entirely sure if i can make this one as currently no army and no spare cash to get one, unless somehow essex will deliver next day and i paint it in 3 days... We're not fussed if you make up a Korean army from Parthian 4Kn, Welsh 3Pk and Elamite 3Bw.

Brilliant, thanks bill! Martin is yet again helping me out, there will definitely be some Persians masquerading as something or other!

Brilliant, thanks bill! Martin is yet again helping me out, there will definitely be some Persians masquerading as something or other! Lots of masquerading in my army, too 😊. However, it’ll be fun, as always 👍👍. Also hoping to provide a force for Ian P., assuming he can attend. Colin offered to help out t’other day, too. He has some lovely figures in his ‘Chinese box’, some of which saw their first action at a ‘practice day’ round at Richard’s on Saturday. We got a whole heap of Korean themed games in, with most of the eligible armies being given a run out. My favourite was when I lost 8G-3...takes practice, that does 😎. If there was a ‘Slayer of Tarrington’ equivalent at PAWS I’d definitely be in the running. Bill, did you paint up an army specially for the theme? Was it one you had plans for before winning the last PAWS tournament? M

Well done Martin. I managed to lose 10G-5 to Lindon in the English Open a few years back. One of my most memorable achievements!

Unfortunately I am booked to be running a tomb raiding game in Nottingham otherwise I would have come down to re-establish my losing streak with some Japanese I have.

Changes at the Community Centre mean we can't get the Upper Room until 2 pm. If we want to start at 1pm we will have to use teh smaller Lounge downstairs. We have held teh Open there before but it can be a bit of a squeeze and if there is a party at the Community Centre it would get a bit loud.
Would people be still be able to make it with a 2pm start and a 7 pm finish?

The later start wouldn't be a problem for me - and I never need to stay until the very end anyway.
Might be a problem for Martin, as he is due to work later that evening.

Yep, as Denis mentioned, it might be problematic for me, but I fully understand the problem you face. However, the chances of me being ‘needed’ for a final are miniscule, so whatever works, I guess. I await with bated breath.
