A 2pm start is not a problem for me, but it might be tough or off-putting for anyone planning to travel and may affect attendance. Given the choice I'd rather start at 1pm and play in the smaller room - there has not been a space problem there before. And we certainly won't see Martin S if there is a 2pm start - that would be one down.

A new player from the Bournemouth area (contacted me via SoA) planning to attend, but unable if the time slips to the later version. To clarify, I could conceivably arrive for the 2pm, but would be clock-watching due having to rush off to work direct from the tournament (probably have to cut my day short in that case).

....and failed to mention - 8 or 10 great games at Oli’s in Venta Belgarum today (thanks for hosting). I think we tried out every army on the list bar Khitan and all-foot Emishi (?).
Great fun all round. This theme is very ‘rock-paper-scissors’, with each army having its nemesis hiding somewhere on the list. Brill.

Happy to play in the smaller room if numbers are appropriate. Otherwise can do a later start.

So the consensus seems to be that no-one objects to using the smaller room downstairs, but the later start & finish would be problematic to some people.
I've suggested to Lindon that we keep the 1pm start this time and see how it goes in the smaller room. I'll confirm this once Lindon replies (or I talk to him at Colours on Saturday).

Lindon agrees, so the Autumn DBA will remain a 1pm start, held in the Lounge downstairs (the little room next to the office).

Thanks Bill. I’ll pass on the start time to the (?) Bournemouth guy mentioned above.

Bill The new (Bournemouth) guy is asking what the end times might be. I'm a bit vague and lagged - with a 1pm start is the group stage usually done by (?) 5 / 5:30 or so (then final)? When does PAWS have their booking til?

Martin,
Assuming the bloke from Bournemouth is a member of the SoA, could you also mention the Championship to him and ask him to have his membership number handy please?
This also applies to any other SoA members who are planning to attend.

OK noted 1pm start. Will see you all there.
Army arrived today painted, but off to Belize. So no time to train them.
Think they will look visually enticing so one positive.
