For some time I have been going back to my Ospreys as I work on the army covered. Usually re-reading the entire issue.
Fiction has been Way of Kings series by Sanderson and Forgotten Warrior series by Correia among others.
Not too much in the way of historical fiction or histories.

After completing Myke Cole's Legion versus Phalanx, which I can recommend, I've moved onto Adrian Goldsworthy's The Fort, the first in his new series set in the Trajanic period of empire.
Cheers,

Working my way through Dan Jones’s ‘The Templars’ and, as with all his work, it’s a cracking narrative. 😎

Cheers, I finished this book last night and can heartily recommend it. I'm looking forward to the next volume in this series. I'll be moving away from books in the meantime and catch up with issues of AW, MW and WSS that have been neglected. Cheers,

On the weekend I finished 'How to Plan a Crusade' and from that moved on to 'Spectre Operations' a modern era skirmish wargame ruleset.
That only took me the day, after which I started 'Camelot' by Giles Kristian, a follow up to his book 'Lancelot'
Cheers

Just finished the northern crusade again notintheface,
Was Eric Christiansen the author? If so, I found some useful information covering the eastern lands (Finland). I plan a Swede (IV/54d) vs. Russian (IV/44b) game soon.

I've just finished the latest Simon Scarrow novel in the Cato and Macro series. The Emperor's Exile sees Cato banished to the backwaters of the Empire, Sardinia, to bring to an end the unruly activities of a large band of brigands. All go rollicking fun.

Today I finally finished 'Camelot' by Giles Kristian - it took me a while as I was being distracted by the painting table and a few other activities. I have to say that the writing was excellent - really breathing life into a a post Arthur Sub Roman Britain with the all pervading gloom of the impending fall of the British kingdoms to the Saxons. Of course that only meant that we all know it will end in tears, no matter how much hope is breathed into the main characters. But seriously, this is a great read.
I then moved on to the Osprey Elite - 'American Frontier Lawmen 1850-1930' and knocked it over by the afternoon. I am now just starting one of Mike Ashley's short story collections "The Mammoth Book of Merlin" one of his many collections of Arthurian short stories.
Cheers
