In a bound a LH element moves once and ends up 2BW of a rivers edge, and declares that the LH wishes to cross the river for another move. Throws a 1 or 2, so assume can cross the river as normal and then make a 3rd move as well.
What happens if a 3, 4, 5 or 6 is thrown? Does the LH move 2BW to the edge of the river and stop, or can it move a 3rd move 1BW across. Looking at the rules rivers are not good or other going, and subsequent moves have to be only in good going.
Thoughts please.

Subsequent moves for LH must be entirely in good going. Now given that paltry rivers can be moved through "as if good going", this, to me, refers to the movement rate, but the act of being paltry does not "convert" a river to good going. Otherwise the rule would have said "paltry rivers are good going". But it doesn't. So the moved through "as if good going" suggests, in my view, the restrictions on group moves, and the reduction of move rate are removed.
Remember that fleeing into a river (even if paltry) still kills you, so not sure I would even allow the subsequent move through a paltry river. Then again, one could interpret that it is allowable, since it is movement that is being referenced, and "moved through as if good going" could be interpreted to mean that a subsequent move is also treated as if entirely in good going.
I don't know, not sure how to rule this one.
On the non-paltry rivers (3-6), sorry, these are not good going, and, unlike paltry rivers, cannot even be moved through "as if in good going". So definite "No" to subsequent move across non-paltry river. Across a paltry river, not sure...

Phil Could not write that paltry rivers “ are good going” because in the terrain section he says rivers are neither good nor other going. Therefore to make a modification to equate paltry river with good going he says treat it “as if I good going.” Phil uses “as if” quite often to give something a temporary characteristic. For example, a group “moves as if entirely of the slowest type included.” This does not mean that the elements become of the slowest moving type, Only that they act like it, temporarily.
There is nothing in the flee rules that exempts any river from destroying an element, whether good going or not. So that is not relevant.
Therefore, It seems to me, a subsequent move can cross a paltry river.
I fully agree with primuspilus On his comments about other rivers.
