Hi, I've looked around online and nobody seems to carry the DBA 3 rules? Who can I order these from? Or, is there a website where I can buy a PDF version or ebook version?

As a starter, you could get Sue Barker's book Start Ancient Wargaming. It contains the rules in full but only as a subset (but a very reasonable subset) of the rules. You can get it as Kindle or paperback.

Sorry typo in the above. The complete rules are in the book but only a subset of the army lists.

I think 3.0 is out of print (silly in the electronic age). Sue's book is your best substitute for basic DBA. Due to some company drama though she was not allowed to include the diagrams which are essential to understanding some of the rules.

Just to be sure, the army lists in the Kindle Version are for the most part all of the most popular and well-used ones. There are over 100 lists, and are a great starting point.
To Tom's point, although the diagrams are missing, the FAQ team is doing a great job in explaining and clarifying things that aren't fully clear, and the fanatics site is only a click and a question or two away.

Rumors are that a reprint is 3 or 4 weeks out. They just lost their printer (2nd one) and so had to find another.

We had two prospective new members at my local club on Friday, both keen to try a simple Ancients game. It's not easy to "sell" a set of rules that is only available in another publication. I have offered to take them through a couple of games. Hopefully by the time we have done this, the purple primer will be available again.

Actually, we primarily "sell" DBA to new players via the Kindle version. At $8 entry, along with great ideas for terrain, it is an unbeatable deal for younger players.

If there were a kindle version of the core rules (in particular the army lists) that would relieve a lot of pressure it seems.

I did not count every army in the list for Sue's book but I would say there seems to be roughly 70+ army lists. That is not a bad investment of $10 US if you want to learn the game and decide if DBA is for someone on the fence.

As of right now, it appears to be possible to order 3.0 via Amazon.co.uk.

I pre-ordered mine from Black Hat in the UK and got it a week or so ago. You might try them to see if they have any left.
