The best Theme Army is The Plasticville Police, of Allan Balsillies of the Glasgow Leg. The best Stronghold is the New York City Skyline by Martin Smith of the Staines leg These two winners will be receiving a trophies and prizes. My congratulations to the winners, and also to all those who were candidates because they were voted the best in their Leg. This brings the 2017 GBnUIT to a close and I will announce the 2018 theme very shortly. I want to thank all those who participated, those who helped support the tournament with donations and prizes, and very especially the Leg Coordinators in each location. Without any of these folks, this tournament would, could not be what it is! Terry

I have four, and maybe later a fifth, post apocalyptic army planned, The Law, The Creepers, The Road Warriors and The Survivalist. Here is the Stronghold for my Road Warrior army. Yes, it is very much influenced by the Mad Max movies, and the Stronghold obviously from Fury Road. This one involves several very involved conversions. The models are Pendraken 10 MM, and the war Rig, called "The Green Dragon" was made from a 1920/30's SCW truck. The wrecked and rusted out SUV was a WWII British staff car. All of my Stronghold bases are 60 x 80 MM. You can see how it was made here www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,16890.0.html Terry

Now that the Law Army is finished, I have been working on the Stronghold. I like making my Strongholds in 6 MM when possible as that scale allows me more of an opportunity to do a little diorama. Here is an initial photo, and it is till very much a work in progress. Received the custom deals and have applied them tot he Law Garage/Police Station. Now working on the spot lights, barbed wire and a street light to go on the sidewalk in front of the building. Having to scratch build most of it as this is a 6 MM project. More to come shortly, Terry

Martin, I see Joe beat me to it, so hope you were able to have a look. It's in the "Competitions" section at the bottom.
Tom, having seen both the Atlanta winner and the Nashville winner, I can only agree with you"99% + 1, you do the math"* Unfortunately, we're stuck with David. You wouldn't consider a trade would you? We'll even throw in some figures!

The 2017 Good, Bad and Ugly International HOTT Tournament continues with the Atlanta and the Nashville Legs being played this coming Saturday.
Tom Thomas is the Coordinator for the Atlanta Leg, and I am the Coordinator for the Nashville Leg.
A special treat for this years Nashville Leg will be having Pete Duckworth of Coventry, England joining us. Pete will be the first player to have played in two Legs of the tournament in the same year, as he has already participated in the Staines Leg held last month. The Nashville DBA/HOTT Group extend a hearty welcome to Pete, and to any other gamers who want to join us.
Folks are always welcome and most, if not all, Legs have loaner armies available. Even if you're not familiar with the HOTT rules, this is a great opportunity to learn. The primary objective of this tournament is to have fun and share a common theme with fellow gamers around the world.

Here's the Stronghold I am proposing for this army. I considered several possibilities, but like this lay out the best. It is a 6 MM model on a 60 x 80 MM base. That's a police cruiser inside, and I am going to see about some 6 MM figures to main the gate area. Any outside windows or doors on the building will be boarded up or covered with corrugated metal.Looking forward to getting started on it. Terry

I have finished painting and gluing the figures to the bases for my Post Apocalyptic Law army. The bases are not yet sculpted as that will have to wait until I clear out some other projects that have a looming deadline. I'll re-post after the bases have been done. The aim will be to try and capture city streets, sidewalks, etc. The full army. Blades and Blade General. The figures are 15 MM Rebel Minis, which worked perfectly for the army I wanted to create. Rear view. Shooters. Warbands - Police Auxiliary. This is the most ordinary looking of the four post apocalyptic armies I am doing, but the Law Stronghold will be evident of the chaos of the post apocalypse!!! The next three armies should be lots more fun to do actually! Terry

The 2017 Good, Bad and Ugly International Tournament marches on, with the Shetlands Leg coming up September 17th. Mike McEwan runs that Leg, and has a good group of gamers who via for the win.
After that we won't have another Leg until October. Stay tuned, and remember - "Look to the skies!"

Martin, a big congratulations to you for this years win of the 2017 GBnUIT! Pete Duckworth told me you all had a real slug fest with Dragons! He also told me the NY skyline was yours and I think that is so creative and so cool looking - very nicely done!

Congratulations to Pete Duckworth for the top win, and a very special thanks to the Staines Group for hosting this years Leg of the GBnUIT in Tim's absence.
Loved seeing the pictures of the players and the various armies. And some really cool and creative armies too!!! And just LOVE the New York skyline! Hope I'll have the candidates for the Barker and Stronghold awards soon.
Well done Staines!!!!
