My Old Glory Visigoths arrived, enough for the command and 8 x 4Wb. Very nice figures and will start them once I finish the extra HYW figures I have.

I use (rarely) Blogger as well. Pretty user friendly. But as you can see, I always think I will blog more but other things take precedence. I have many posts in my head, especially DBA related, but they are stuck there for the time being. 7pillarsofwargaming.blogspot.com

Found a pack of Xyston Kappadokian Hillmen Infantry (ANC 20061) and won't be using it. Will trade for any Xyston pack covering certain Macedonian or Achaemenid Persian or Goths, Late Imperial Rome by other manufacturers. Thanks.

Perfect timing. Finished this morning the infantry for the French Ordonnance (1 x mtd-4Lb, 2 x Gascon skirmishers (Ps), 2 x Swiss pikemen and 2 x French pike (horde).
This afternoon my order on Legio Heroica arrived with Landsknecht, artillery and crossbow LH. The latter two were cleaned primed and are ready for painting tomorrow.
Couldn't find a pic of your MTD-4Lb. How did you model them? All your other stuff recently looks terrific!

I was going through the lead mountain this weekend and found a pack of Xyston Kapadokian Hillmen. I think it was a flea market buy when I was looking to build a Macedonian and Persian armies. Still needs fleshed out. Can the Kapadokians be used for anything else besides a Kapadokian army?

Just started "Rome's Gothic Wars" by Michael Kulikowski. Interesting writing style. I have Kulikowski’s book. It presents a nice overview but for more depth, I would add ‘History of the Goths’ by Herwig Wolfram.
Great, thanks for the reference! Is there a book that has any "in depth" discussions about Gothic battles?

A couple of days ago I purchased 19 packs (plus a mounted general) of Essex Franks, Normans and Bretons. The Breton light cavalry will probably end up with the Feudal Spanish and other armies with javelin armed LH. Although at some point a Breton army is likely. The Frankish spear and medium cavalry will likely go for Carolingians. Although there are enough cavalry to add more CV to my Ottonians as well. Asking price of $40 was quite good at just over $2 a pack, but postage and exchange rate (from Canada) brought it up to a bit over $3 a pack. Still not bad... That's a great deal!
