I now have a couple packs of Essex Seleucid Cavalry (MPA 86) and some loose Minifig Persian Immortals that I won't use. Trade one for one if others have any Seleucids they would like to part with.

I believe the standard practice is to Dullcote, then brush on gloss varnish on the parts you want shiny. I was thinking that but have too many and they are already based.

OK I will do a test spray on some lesser noble. Was not sure if there was another product what worked to protect the paint while keeping the shine of armor. I don't like shiny figures so Dullcote was always my go to spray, I just didn't have to deal with armor. Thanks for the response.

I have not had a problem as I do not spray a heavy coat of varnish. A box is helpful so I may rotate the sheet with figures and keep the wind at bay. does it dull out the shine of the armor?

I used Testors Dullcote for my 1000+ Napoleonics. However I have almost completed my HYW project and worried that Dullcote will be too matte for the armor that I'd like to keep shiny. Any suggestions?

That is pretty cool. Do you have plans to link up what each army consists of on the left side of the map? My mind is running wild with the possibilities. You could also show in those links the common elements. So looking at the enemies of the Late Roman Army many of their enemies relied heavily on warbands so with a little modification you could make multiple armies out of base army of say 8 Wb.

Very nice! I like them a lot. How did you find FiB and Essex mix?

not sure about their italian wars but I use Essex ad Old Glory with their LIR and Goth/Germans. THat said I have 4 LIR archers that are significantly larger than the legionary and auxiliary I got from them. I think it was a different sculptor too

as far as foot knights and MAA I used Khurasan, Corvus Belli and Old Glory for my HYW all going pretty well with my Essex figures
