1- What is the minimum size of a Fort (1x 1 BW) as the other features ? I have a document giving 11/2x3 BW ?
2- Do I need an extra pip to leave the BUA (except the fact I have to be inside teh 4 BW for gal visibility ?

so in conclusion the group could touch with his front edge the corner of the single element but not only with his corner ! good going and front of course;

So this is really a distance issue, if the maximal distance of the group do allow him to just touch a corner, no contact But wwith one milimiter more the group could touch the front edge ,the contact is legal and the single element must conform. right ?

la FAQ said "a group contacting a single element in good going with its front edge forces the enemy elment to conform "
1. how do you evaluate the contact between the front edge of the group and the single element ? does the group has only to touch the corner of the single element to oblige this last to conform ? 2. Do we agree that a group which only have the distance to contact with his corner of a single element is illegal ?

question guys:
I have an army with littoral terrain. I changed 3 elements with an ally which is not Littoral.
Do i have the right to put my ally on the boats to disembark them ?
The rules says (whose army's home terrain is LITTORAL) 8(3)
Do the ally belongs to the main army or not ?

Bad going are not impassable but if you put a waterway with a dune sticked the sea on one side plus a fort on the other side or another dunes or oasis, it rests very few piece of good going to play and unfortunately I saw very few Ax and Wb on the tables, rest the Bw to counter that ! If we are littoral too you could land on the other side of the dune but you will have command issue except if you are Lc. If you have littoral as mandatory , i think you should put it, no ? am i wrong ? We could play in any manner, we just need to know what is possible or not !

no beaches are not area features as flood plain. we are playing with waterway which includes beaches (DBA mousepad less 4Bw). As stated by stevie, the chosen area feature come on top of the beach until the sea so impossible to pass except with boat (if you have littoral in your army choice)

In this case this is simple the defender has 3 dunes so 3 possibilities to put a difficult area for the invader not his camels which are in good going. Not possible to backdoor with a lc with this difficult area and psiloi are not good facing camels in a dune. So a side is blocked and it could be in the invader if defender side as it does not matter.

Ok thx stevie, so the answer is Yes, you could stick any area terrain feature (difficult or rough) to a waterway(sea part) as a waterway is a linear feature. So you could blocked half table with a difficult terrain and a waterway. you have no obligation to keep the 1 Bw part betwen the sea part and the area(difficult or rough).

hello guys,I need your point of view, I was looking in the forum but did not see the answer.
Which element could we stick to waterway ? I thought it was only beaches and flooded plain could but it seems that
the rule admit any terrain (dune, wood, oasis, etc ) as long as waterway is a linear element which could be closed to any terrain. I mean closed without 1 Bw in Beetween.
In doing that a waterway and another difficult terrain sticked together , it gives the ground really unpraticable for the invader.
What is your thoughts about that ? thx

An article in slingshot may/june 2019 from Joe Collins asked us to test 3 modifications for a DBA3.x
one for AX, one for Pike and one for Bx arguing historical references
What do you think about that ?
Thank you.
