Being lazy I am not going to do a search, however does anybody have a list of corrections to DBA3 for historical opponents, I know there are some errors.

Yes, "lest we forget". His name will be forgotten, but not the act. It was a comment often made that people were sent running away from the problem by police, while other police were running the other way. Another thing to remember when I put my ring on on Sundays.

I know what you mean Stevie, it is my baggage over rules description, plus the fact that I tried to depict proper blades as blades, swords, bills etc.
It can confuse an opponent if you are going to make one 4Sp base blades, unless you clearly show what you mean, hence problems with 3Sp from DBA2.2 to DBA3 for me, and my based figures.

Algebra, History....it's all Greek to me...... Ah, that's where you've been going wrong. Algebra is Arabic, not Greek. Purely an aside.
It amuses my nieces that when I write notes I number them in the Roman way, and using pure addition only, no new fangled IV etc.

You can add me as a visitor, reserve if needed. David Constable After last year, you play or we both play...it'll be good to see you. Missed you at the Northern! Sorry about the Northern, clashed with my nieces wedding, and I only survived that till after the service and photos.
Had a BP problem, today is the first time since the 5th I will have been more than 400 yards/metres from home.

### PART CUT ### By they way, is this really true. I thought it was the other way around. Blades do destroy Knights on ties. Against mounted: both have a combat factor of 3...but blades can quick-kill knights. It probably represents the fact that if the knights stall - they are dead meat, saddle straps can be cut etc., knights on the ground even with a good helmet can be killed by a knife through the eye slit.

Some years ago I saw some 2000+ samples of sand from the Middle East.
The colour varies from area to area, and even from one end of a Valley to the other.
Passing across the Negev going towards Suez in 1970, we passed up a valley, it started with a very dark sand, almost a light soil colour, it ended with the sand being a light pink, almost a tinted white. Going on to Oman from there produced different colours again.

I still use some colour/color information from very early Slingshot (SoA) magazines, probably 40 years old, has always served me well.

I have been thinking about this one, and still cannot be certain. I suspect that hypaspists historically can be (in no order) 3AX, 4Ax, 4Sp or 4Pk, chosen at deployment to suit the terrain. Only 4Pk potentially causes a problem over odd numbers.
I cannot see them as blade, not their, or the armies style.

As a person who is adverse to playing DBA3.0 (do not laugh like that), I have to say I much prefer the bigger board though.
David Constable
P.S. - On a smaller board you could try using DBA2.2 measures with DBA3. It would reduce the move distances, and give the feel of DBA2.2 movement.

Possibly a balanced army such as Late Roman?
Go for what looks good on the table, but with a really well painted Barker Marker, a confused general perhaps.

P.S. - The Romans look brilliant with every element having a different shield pattern.
