This is a brand new YouTube presentation from BazBattles and of interest for the medieval enthusiasts here. Armies would use the Feudal French (IV/4b) and the County of Flanders (IV/57a Low Countries) lists and the Zeeland contingent (J. van Renesse) would come from the IV/13e Free Canton list. www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5ksuFG8YaY

Thanks for posting that, Robert. The info and maps therein are a scenario designer's dream! How to simulate the anti-cavalry ditches, though, in DBA terms?
And I was already considering building a Low Countries Army, sort of as a souvenir of an epic "Daytrip to Holland" I made last week. (Wasn't time to look you up for a game of DBA, just enough for a sightseeing run along canals, past windmills, then fly home. Fabulous...)

To bring some balance, for every ditch given the Flemings, the French have the equivalent number of non-feudal or mercenary foot troop types. It was clear that the infantry first assaulted the Flemish line and were later recalled to make way for the assault by the knights. The two phases should be clearly defined in the scenario, so the knightly assault would be launched no earlier than turn ‘X’. Next time you are in country, do send a note. I am only 50 minutes by train from Amsterdam.

The ditches could negate Shock (destroyed on more) or grant Cry Havoc (destroyed on equals).
