Hey all,
Just been pondering the late of LH in the realm of DBA 3. I am wondering if the new movement rates brings them back to the field too much (not that they were ever heavy hitters anyway). Obviously one of their key advantages is in maneuverability. LH used to be out there on their own, and now they are rated the same as Cav and Scythed Chariots.
Do you run a LH heavy army?
Have you noticed the change in the way you play now?

Have you noticed the change in the way you play now? I have quite a number of LH heavy armies; Huns, Alans, Parthians and Later Moors. With the older version of DBA, I used LH as a ‘poor man’s’ battlefield cavalry, whereas now LH can be employed as they should be; wide flanking moves. Their success is made by out positioning the enemy, blocking enemy movement with its TZ and eventually picking off isolated units. A LH heavy army requires a good dose of patience to use.
