I have a cunning plan to maintain enthusiasm on these armies Paul...the Hsuing Nu,Xianbei and Former Ch'in are all enemies and allies. The Tamils sport up to 5 ellies with Bd support...a true juggernaut of an army!...plus all my Hindu/Rajput foot are already done.😊

It wont matter...they(the Tamils)will be so tough in the right combo that they can just stand there and look scary! Not so long ago a version of this army beat all comers in competition....in my hand thats wishful thinking.lol

I decided to bulk out on some scenery today so ordered a few items from hovels.
A couple of 15mm buildings from their oriental range to provide a hamlet BUA and a 10mm French Church ruin for an edifice/camp for my Normans or Swiss.
Last but by no means least I ordered some 10mm obelisks for my Sea Peoples camp.

IV/71b Coastal Peruvian. I know, sounds like a boutique cruise line, right? Figures from Lurkio. They're just so darn cute looking. Gotta paint some. And the Commentary references the Tallenes tribe, which I've since learned was matriarchial in structure and saw the moon as more powerful than the sun. --That's my kinda tribe.

With the III/72 Anglo-Danish now nearly complete, I'm turning my attention to the next armies for the 2021 DBA Northern Cup, which include a refurb of some old Feudal English (Irregular figs, maybe...) morphing into IV/21a Anglo-Irish and then have ordered some Donnington miniatures to make up a III/45 Pre-Feudal Scots army.

Just got my Khurasan Parthians, very nice and delivered promptly. Of course, right now I'm busy laminating and cutting out DBA hint cards, but soon the paint brushes will be out.

From Legio Heroica, an all-options, IV/49 Anatolian Turkoman army. Their modest, "Fall Sale" discount helped offset the overseas postage.

Ordered two things today: Killing Fields teddy fur game mat, 7 X 5 feet and Mark Hermon's "Gettysburg" board game, said to be simple and yet good for grognards too, plays in 60 - 90 minutes. And both shipped today, which really surprised me. OK, keep me away from ordering stuff.
Although I will do a small task for my wife's studio tomorrow that should get me a $40 Amazon gift card. I see a couple books in my future.
