I've just placed an order with Thistle and Rose Miniatures for figures to construct a Lusignan Cypriot army. The figures will be predominantly from their 12th/13th century transitional range with a smattering of Feudal Castings figures to represent the Christian Maronite archers. I hope to receive them in the next fortnight.
Cheers

Salutations, gentlefolk !
Heading to Fall In this coming weekend. Not planning major purchases, just to fill out elements - some Essex Lombard knights, some Viking Forge Anglo-Dane spearmen.
Suggestions sought; if enlarging a 15mm Camillan / Polybian Roman army, what figures would work well with Outpost's ?
And will be roaming the dealer's room and flea market - I can resist anything except temptation ;-)
Say 'Hello' if you see me there (more beard now than in picture)

Earlier this year I bought a batch of second-hand Egyptian figures. The collection turned out to contain a high proportion of Nubians (Magister Militum castings), which formed the core of my recently-finished Nubian army (I/3).
It also contained 16 mystery bowmen, which Martin Smith identified as Alternative Armies' Blemmye archers, and five cavalry (also Alternative Armies' Blemmye).
Strangely, Alternative Armies don't offer a Blemmye spearman, but their Arab Negro Spearman is close enough, so I have just ordered some of them for the Sp and 3Ax elements, plus another 7 cavalry. (II/55a)

They are superb. And the bonus lances is a very nice touch. I've got nothing but good things to say about the level of service and the figures supplied. Cheers,

However, the foot archers have two figure sculpts in…not sure if it was a packing c*ck up, or intentional. Some might not be intended to be Skyths…

Re American post to the UK
In the UK I am having a lot of problems with DVD coming from USA, the problem appears to be at the USA end. If tracked they get to the UK. If they are not tracked they do not even leave the USA.
