The Glasgow leg of the international Good Bad and Ugly HotT Tournament took place on Tuesday 1st November in Partick Burgh Halls. This is the third year that we've participated in the tournament and the 9th year in a row the Phoenix Wargames Club in Glasgow has held a Hordes of the Things tournament There were 12 competitors, from the Phoenix, Tradeston and Falkirk clubs. Due to a couple of the games running long the prize giving took place the following week. The locally awarded prizes were: The Golden Phoenix trophy for overall winner - Graham Short (Tradeston) Best dragon - Peter Clarke (Phoenix) The Wooden Spoon for finishing last - Allan Balsillie(Phoenix) The players voted for Peter Clarke's Welsh Wizards army to go forward for the Barker award for the best theme army and for Gordon Macpherson's Greek Epic army's beached ships stronghold to go forward for the Best Stronghold award. I've created a Flickr album with some photographs, hopefully you can access it: www.flickr.com/photos/129374895@N04/sets/72157675387308800I'll post more photographs shortly. Euan

Very impressive album, Lovely trophy!!
Lots of great stuff there, and some inventive armies- Especially liked the resplendant Quetzalcoatl-type dragon, the Trojan Horse, and the Numidians.......and the BUA in a pic with the Welsh (is that a model of Edinburgh Castle??).
What was the army with the Quetzal-style dragon- Tupi?
Many thanks for posting the link.

Thanks Martin. The players created some interesting armies.
I think that the castle is actually a souvenir model of Stirling Castle. The army with Quetzalcoatl was billed as Amazonian, but they look pretty Tupi-like to me.
