Migration to Kingdom - 881 AD, The Battle of Conwy At the blog you will find a possible scenario for the Battle of Conwy, fought between the kingdom of Gwynedd and Mercia. The Welsh were recently finished but are eager for battle which will be next week. dbagora.blogspot.com/2018/07/881-ad-battle-of-conwy.html

Interesting scenarios - downloaded those references for my own use.
Particularly like that last action. Good to see Ottonians in action.
Amusingly I had just decided last week to dig out and prep the OG15 Swabians that I had picked up for my Ottonians. And then since there are enough for the BBDBA version, I decided two days later to go ahead and do the rest of the cavalry for the BBDBA version.
Thanks for a chance to see them in action. And to see them put paid to those Godless heathens - having those priests on hand is probably what kept Odin scarce...

I shall have to find something suitable so the Danes can reciprocate.

Migration to Kingdom - 894 AD , Battle of Buttington Returning to the British Isles, Buttington is located on the Welsh border and brings the Danes in conflict with Mercia and her ally, the Welsh.
This is a departure from the standard set piece battle. dbagora.blogspot.com/2018/07/894-ad-battle-of-buttington.html

Perhaps some female warriors on winged horses - AKA Valkyries? Of course their traditional arrival would be to chose the valiant from the slain, so would still only occur after Danish losses... Or Odin himself - eyepatch and crows on shoulders - due to his association with death. Again more of a judge of the worthiness of the Danish slain. Perhaps a shaman with a Nithing pole to curse the land Wights of the Saxons and gloat over their slain. At any rate nice scenario with the camp breakout. Bad pips can really put the Saxons and Welsh in a bind.

Look forward to seeing this as well.
I got some Essex Lombard mediums at a club swap meet - the original owner was intending them for Gondoreans. Finished painting them and have since gotten some of the Essex heavies to beef them up. These reports will be another incentive to get them finished as well (besides being another Book III army).

The Battle of Brenta was a challenge to design, however a recent Italian publication helped resolve a number of issues. Those can be read as ‘Design notes’ following the battle report.
