I ordered a few figures from an etsy vendor selling the 3dbreed.es models. Specifically one of the March to Hell Ancient World Macedonian Army war elephants (the one with the howdah), and the Celts chariots (Boudica and the ridgepole-running warrior).
I am really impressed overall. The detail exquisite. Crisp and lots of it. The elephant and pikemen are nicely proportioned and look great. Using Army Painter Speedpaints with a bit of traditional paint drybrushing & detail picking the elephant turned out spectacular--it'll definitely be a showcase piece for my II/15 army. The pikemen are still WIP, but looking great so far. The pikes are ever so slightly flexible which is a good thing.
The chariots also look great. Nice detail in the fittings, wicker, and wood. The figures look great with lots of expression. I'm not 100% thrilled with Boudica's face sculpt, but that's being nitpicky. I'm also not completely convinced with the horse faces--I get a little bit of a Maximus from Tangled vibe from the eye placement, but again being nitpicky. The shields have nice details; the hexagon and oval shields have raised patterns on them, and the small round shield has a subtle woodgrain pattern on the back.
I'm not entirely thrilled with the vendor, it's taken several rounds of prodding and reprints & shipments--which I'm still waiting on the last one--to get the pieces. That caused me to miss getting the pieces ready for the last club meeting which was disappointing. The quality of the models and the struggle getting them is making me think harder than ever about clearing a corner of the garage and getting my own resin printer to join the FDM ones I have.
