Sorry if this is a silly question, but what glue do people use for spears, shields etc? Superglue is rubbish, and 2-part epoxy is messy and only manages a few pieces before curing. Has anyone any clever suggestions? TIA!

...for me the best glue was the one of the swiss supermarket Migros. But now Migros did a few restrictions. Now i don't know if that glue is still available...

Has anyone any clever suggestions? TIA! Never a silly question, only daft answers. I use superglue, which works fine if it’s metal to metal eg. Sometimes it’s worth holding the two items in place with blue tack while the glue sets. Otherwise the slightest movement will stop it bonding.

Some so-called super glues are anything but.I recommended Loctite super glue ...even better if it is a high viscosity glue for metal on metal....we used to use that stuff on the Intelligent pipeline inspection tools(pigs) we used oil, gas, water etc. at pressures greater than 2 Bar pressure and I don't recall loosing any bits.😁👍

Small bits: gorilla super glue - beucase it’s a gel and the lids don’t seem to clog so quickly. If there’s a gap I tend to use cheap 2 part epoxy - mainly for shields especially if there’s very little surface contact. I mix small amounts and bin most of it to be honest but it works K

I use a Loctite gel superglue and a toothpick to spread the overflow around to make something like a sleeve for spears. Not perfect but good enough for me.

Thanks all for the input. Loctite gel it is, then - possibly with accelerant?

TBH I find the cheap stuff from poundland etc just fine. Accelerator spray def minimises holding time.
