I would love to have been at CANCON to beg a sample but the pictures were posted to the 15mm Fantasy Gaming group on Facebook by a Gentleman who says he has "been working with Eureka Miniatures on a new 18mm line of Hawkmoon figures."This is right out of the blue for me, haven't read any of the Eternal Champion books since maybe the nineties but, looking at the quality of those sculpts, I'm in!

Listening to the audio book “ The Jewel in the Skull” while painting. During the late 60’s, the Moorcock books were a favourite read, listening to the audio book brought back the images I had of the war towers and troops wearing animal styled helmets. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpHxvsBXIFY&t=1532s

Better as a teen.
I reread these several years ago and found my nostalgia overran the reality.
Though, I did purchase his latest "Elric" novel. It was ok.
I don't regret the purchase and time investment. It just wasn't what it was 40 years ago.

Better as a teen. It just wasn't what it was 40 years ago. Joe Collins So long ago that I don't remember when I read it or the person I was when I did, but I suspect this person would feel the same. Anyway, this budding range since it hasn't been released yet is not on the Eureka Australia site but if you email Nic arrangements can be made. "we have the Orders of Bull, Wolf, Boar and Mantis. Eight of each so far (command and personalities to come) and they cost AUD$11.00 including GST for each set of 8. I could send you some now"Hopefully I will have some shortly and I can post some comparison pics.

Some comparison shots with fantasy figures I have on hand, I'll post photos of the four Orders by the weekend(ish). All very clean though the ink wash does bring out what I am thinking, not having any experience with printed figures, are print lines and bumps where scaffolding has been removed. On the tops of things like heads and pauldrons there is a "layering" effect like sedimentary deposits. I don't expect it to be an issue when I get around to painting some with something thicker than ink but it's curious, I suppose we shall see.
