Hott differs from many rules sets by having three very different conditions for losing the game* :- 1. Losing 1/2 your army points, and more than the opponent. 2. Losing your stronghold. 3. Losing your general, and more AP than the opposition.
With that in mind, can players offer scoring systems for a Hott tournament, which attempt to address this variable - so eg not solely based on AP lost (with an eye on eg ‘rider general first element to be destroyed, winner has just killed 2 AP, score 2-0’, causing a low value win).
*…and the possible anomaly of both players ‘losing’ in the same turn (Crap scoring systems are a good way to piss off your player-base.)

I understand a commonly-used system is 24 to the winner and the loser gets as many as enemy APs eliminated ?

I understand a commonly-used system is 24 to the winner and the loser gets as many as enemy APs eliminated ? That is the system I use for my HOTT tournament in Franec I must have been running for more than 15 years. Simple and efficient system. The greatest vitory is when you destroy the ennemy with no losses, whether by killing the ennemy general, taking its fortress or destroying 12 elements, does not matter. This system rewards too "aggressive" play. In my tournament we run 7 games in a single day, never saw a winner who did not deserve its victory. Regards Claude
