Dear all,
Can anyone point me to a scenario for a historical Ancient British vs Romans battle (other than Mons Graupius)?
If so, I'll write a report afterwards with pleasure.

Though the Romans did defend a hill in that battle - so may be the other way around?
Battle of the Medway, this lasted for 2 days so lots of scope to develop the scenario - The first major recorded battle of the Roman invasion of Britain under the orders of the emperor Claudius in 43BC. Though it does involve a river and DBA does no like rivers, but of course you can take it from the point after they crossed British resistance united behind the leadership of two brothers, Catuvellauni and Caratacus, after two indecisive skirmishes in eastern Kent (you could make your own idea up here), the British force met the advancing Romans at the Medway River near Rochester. Interesting foot note future Emperor Vespasian fought in the battle as a legate I think.

The Hail Caesar supplement Britania has several scenarios, not sure how historically accurate they are. Germania and the Gaul supplements also have scenarios that could be scaled to DBA.

Ä possible scenario, from Tacitus, Annals.
Cerialis’ attempt to relieve the city of Camulodunum (Colchester) besieged by Boudicca
“The victorious enemy met Petilius Cerialis, commander of the ninth legion, as he was coming to the rescue, routed his troops, and destroyed all his infantry. Cerialis escaped with some cavalry into the camp, and was saved by its fortifications.”
Use the Collision Course variant for deployment.

It's great. I'm tempted to try it, with even greater outnumbering by the British.

Peter Sides included Boudicca's Revolt and Mons Grapius in his Ancient Historical Battles booklet published 1992; while his second book, same title + volume 2, (from 1995) had four Roman v Gallic battles (but no Ancient British). CarlL

Unfortunately there are none, (involving Ancient British), in 'Great Battles of History for DBA3' edited by Joe Collins, from 2016. CarlL

Thanks CarlL. I don't know what Joe Collins can have been thinking!
