Having finished my Median army I decided I required an appropriate camp, and what could be more appropriate than a Zoroastrian fire temple. I've started scratchbuilding the temple using balsa, card, match sticks, buttons and scribed styrene. I'll take photos as I go and when finished I'll post images of the process on the 2 FB DBA pages.
Cheers,

Cheers, Today was very productive. I was able to apply all the colour to the fire temple. Tomorrow I hope to dres the set with flocking, tufts and a column of smoke. Cheers,

Think t looks fab from the front, I love it. If I were to be cheeky I may point out the picture from the rear does remind me a little of a box of tissues😀

I like it gregorius. Can I ask from where you got your inspiration for the design? I have been thinking about using a fire temple as the basis of an edifice for a while but haven't yet found such a satisfying design as yours. As for Baldie's tissue comment - pay no attention. I am sure you need something to wipe your eyes after a solid day's fire worship. Cheers

I am sure you need something to wipe your eyes after a solid day's fire worship. Cheers The first inspiration came from Paul Pecena's rendition of a fire temple (see the Triumph! FB group). However, when I realised that I failed miserably trying to fashion a round building with curved outer walls I turned elsewhere for ideas. So, seeing images of Cyrus the Great's tomb I thought that it would provide the perfect solution. Hope this helps. Cheers,
