Hello,
The club has come back with a vengeance post covid and we are motivated to play. We already had several games that were fun even if we were a bit rusty on the rules...
I have discovered that Legio Heroica is sadly not operating, as well as a few other manufacturers that closed shop. Very sad.
Where do you get your figures from nowadays (UK or Europe base please)?
thank you

Indeed, sadly the man behind Legio Heroica passed away during the COVID time. His family looked to be attempting to keep the business going, but it is a lot of work and they have shut down. I am still holding out hope that we might again see the figures available from somewhere. In the same way that the old Corvus Belli figures have re-appeared via the PSC. As for EU based places, the LAF made a very useful thread: leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=129459.0

I would also add in Forged in Battle, who make some of the best 15mm Book II and III stuff around now. Unfortunately, their pack sizes are not always attuned to DBA requirements... P.

And I would add the lovely z sculpts from museum miniatures, cheap and cheerful Lancashire games, as well as some of new new resin/plastic 3d printed stuff on eBay - not quire convinced about the durability of the ones I’ve seen but worth a try.

Donnington carries the Xyston range as well as their own. Similarly, Magister Militum stock some Baueda figures as well as their own Chariot range. Mirliton are also very pretty figures.
Is there a particular army or period you are considering?

Museum miniatures and Khurasan are both still actively releasing new ranges with excellent quality. Plastic Soldier Company is releasing new ranges but they are old sculpts, just new production. Peter pig releases new stuff as well but not sure if ancients. Mirliton has very recently did a kickstarter with a medieval range as well, with beautiful figures.
The new 3D sculpting gives some options for digital sellers, like RedCopperMiniatures or 3DBreed. Some of them printed by "traditional" companies, like Baueda, which doesnt sculpt new things but has a 3d print service for redcopper.
If we look at sellers that are not releasing new ranges but still sell, there are tons: Baueda, Magister Militum, Forged in Battle, QR...

thank you again for all the pointers, many options to choose from.
I wanted to test the red copper models from Baueda. Someone has Egyptians from Essex so I went with Early Hebrews. I am not sure about their viability against the Egyptians without some divine intervention, but I am looking forward to seeing these models in the flesh.
One other temptation was the Normans from the Z model range by Museum miniatures. I already have a Saga project in 28mm so there are not the highest priority but once my Hebrews are painted and based, they will get my attention, or maybe the Egyptians from Baueda if I really like the red copper models.
Back in the game as they say!...

Don't forget Mick Yarrow Miniatures. Although some are a bit 'primitive', he does have some unusual ranges, plus the old TTG Assyrians etc.

Donnington stopped selling Xyston for a short time, but, according to their new website, they now have them in stock.
