Why-oh-why don’t we wargamers use ‘Divider Calipers’ for measuring?! (See this →link ) It would make fiddly awkward ‘micro-measuring’ sooooo much easier. Now I’m far from being the sharpest tool in the box, but I’ve finally realized that I desperately need a set.

I see problems with everyone being armed Look, I promise that when my opponent rolls three ‘6’s’ in a row, I won’t use the caliper to nail their hand to the table…

The problem, as most people have pointed out is spears etc.
Going off at a tangent, the answer very simply is to have rules based on or designed arround squares.
I still find it amazing that things I learnt the hard way fifty years ago have not changed. My first pike army had needles for pikes, I put my hand down hard on top of them, with unpleasant results. The hand still gives the occasional trouble.

Yes, the same has happened to me, although fortunately it was my left hand, so it didn’t affect my sex life. As for rules based on a square grid…old Stevie is way ahead of you. See fanaticus.boards.net/post/37843/

This unique tool is also very helpful. (I simply love micromeasuring. ) And, by the way, did I ever mention that I NEVER will use a grid?
