Several shades (not that photos show it!) of same-ish paint for walls with door, window shutters and turret roof hatch painted, so just paper tiling to add when re-sized for cutting and glueing. CarlL

Ok, (simple scaled down paper print of) tiling added, (with big nod to our German ‘Brian Boru’ on DBA Fanaticus forum whose ideas / gateway inspired this), in this version as an arch and covering some of the original loophole detail. Could have cut arch out and left as rectangular feature but this didn’t feel ‘Arabesque’ enough. I could also cut out loopholes in tiling but this seems wrong too. So I may just add ‘shutters’ on interior wall where loopholes are obscured by print addition and pretend these are features to open a slot in tiling!! CarlL PS let me know if you think its 'better' as Arabesque fort with or without tiling, please.

Vodnik, thats a lotta patience to use matchsticks! As you see I cheated by using the Sarissa / Italeri fort as my start point. CarlL

If I chose the palace, I'd forget about the loopholes and only use windows and embattlements... A sparkling jewel, mirroring the infinite power of its owner. " In Xanadu did Kubla Khan A stately pleasure-dome decree..."

The problem was to fight as an enemy against an army with a fortes.
