...in a legendary battle before 291 AD somewhere in what is now Slovakia, between the source rivers of the Vistula and Theiss, there was a battle between the Burgundians passing through and the Gepids, the 3rd Goth people. In addition to the Hasdingen and Silingen, the Burgundians were actually also a Vandal tribe whose hereditary enemies were the Alemanni. In contrast to the other Vandals, the Burgundians only had cavalry instead of knights... 2/70a Burgundi 250-534; Forest Ag: 3 2x3Cv or 3Wb(Gen), 8x3Wb, 2x2Ps 2/71 Gepid 250-566: Steppe. Ag: 3: 1x3Kn(Gen), 3xKni, 4x4Wb, 4x2Ps

..so, the last Dark Age battles just before Christmas: ...below the Italian Lombards against early Slavs... ...the Slavs below versus the Carolingians above... ...above the Carolinians against the Lombards, according to triumph rules, although the Schlochten wouldn't have looked much different according to DBA..

...for me DBA22 is perfect to use for friendly games but also for tournaments. In Switzerland we did change to use the US version; DBA22+. Version 3 had no chance in the Alps. A few of us did try it wirh German friends in Munich. But we did not liked. You could use the arny lists. With the introduction of Triumph we did change to use that rules...
...here in the forum we have an other set of homerules per use. That is OK if you can find oponents using BBADBA works. But to play Triumph with more commands the length of the table could be a problem. To play lerger battles we use "Art de la Guerre"(ADG). But tha sistem knows just half of the armies compared with DBA...

To play lerger battles we use "Art de la Guerre"(ADG). But tha sistem knows just half of the armies compared with DBA... That has 300 main lists , then you have the sublists included in them .
