I have a surplus of Essex figures that would be an ideal for the (post AD-798) 4xSp of a III/26a Early Serbian army. What Essex code would be appropriate for the 3x3Kn elements? (The army-pack make-up is useless, cuz Essex list codes instead for III/25c Khawarij.)

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll go with those HSA codes (from their Asiatic Hordes range.) Makes good sense.
Wow-- Gorgeous figures, Vodnik. Love all their "festive" capes. Dang, I thought I was pretty good at painting checkerboard patterns. I got nothin' on you! Awesome.
