Thank you eg407 for posting link. I like the use of lots of maps and images to illustrate the points made. I would think archaeological reports (which make reference to food / crop finds) and drone like photos or satellite images of deserted towns in isolated locations (which in dry weather might give outlines of past crop fields) would be good sources of information on links between agriculture and urban growth. An interesting aspect of human geography. CarlL
