I think the flag is close enough and looks good While the flag is a very late Qing flag, the Ming had similar flags and would probably have been OK with a dragon on imperial yellow.

For very authentic flags, these are taken from Ming era manuals (which are in black-and-white, so the colours are open to interpretation).
