We DBX/HotT gamers may use different scales for our battles. 15mm minuatures normally fit on 40mm base width, and 28mm on 60mm.
Now I'm planning some fun armies in 28mm (Minecraft good vs. bad, NASA) and so I'd like to know:
Which scale do you prefer or like best?
Or do you even use other scales, like 80mm BW?

I like 15mm scale figures myself. This allows me to use DBA figures in HoTT (see the 1st page of this:- static.wikia.nocookie.net/fanaticus-dba/images/3/33/DETAILED_CRIB_SHEETS_for_HOTT_2.1.pdf/revision/latest?cb=20190123092614 ) Mind you, I’m a very naughty Stevie when it comes to base depths. My Sci-Fi Daleks, although they are Blades, are on 20mm deep bases. And my “War of the Worlds” Martian Tripods are even worse… …they too are Blades, but on 40mm (!) deep bases, due to their size. (I always announce this to my opponents, and let them decide if they should recoil 15mm or their base depth…remembering that troops recoiling a deep base depth can end up ‘disengaging’ from pursuers)

When I started into HoTT most of my armies were based on DBA ones, so Egyptian, Chinese and Medieval. Therefore they were 15mm on 40mm wide bases and that's what I've stuck with, as it gives greater flexibility to morph armies between the two rule sets. It's also what the small number of UK HoTT tournaments tend to use.

It makes the behaviour of troops far more interesting and it suits to the martian fighting machine very much. (As a house rule I'd even allow them to "recoil" to their front, i.e. step over smaller enemy units! )

My HotT armies, like my DBA armies, are 20mm, but based on 60mm width bases as per the recommendation for 28mm figures.
