We have rules that allow Lb and Cb to have tweaks amongst Bows. I wonder if we can add the LH tweak for Horse Archers (HA) so that we don't overpower some armies without the historical record of the Mongols, Huns, etc (e.g. Thessalians)? Cheers Jim Fear not Jim…although there are many Horse Archer armies (with 9+ elements), there are also many armies with 3, 4, or 5 Javelin Light Horse elements, the largest being the II/40 & II/57 Numidians and Moors with 6 of them. And in DBA, a LH is a LH, be they javelin or bow armed. Interestingly, the historical counter to Light Horse (apart from bows) was Cavalry, who were both better armoured and fought in a tighter formation as opposed to being individual dispersed open order skirmishers (in DBA terms, combat factor 3 v 2). Nonetheless, during the 2nd Punic War the heavier Roman Cavalry were constantly perplexed and confounded by lighter Numidian horsemen, which is a bit of a paradox. Making LH more nimble (either by ½ PIP moves, or only using PIP’s for subsequent moves) covers the situation and their actual historical abilities quite well.
