Another week, another battle. This time a Welsh raid that was intercepted by the Vikings. The Welsh, concerned about the possibility of a landing behind their lines and even more concerned about the open land to their front, deployed around a village. Now the Vikings, as defenders, could have waited (as DBA doesn't have a rule to force a battle). But, perhaps returning the favour for the Battle of Maldon, decide to attack the deep Welsh warbands. Low PIPs didn't help the Vikings manoeuvre. The Vikings pushed the Welsh back, almost pushing the Welsh general over the edge. But a couple of good rolls later and the Warband was triumphant. An uncommon victory for the Welsh, helped by Viking impatience. Some adjusting of terrain placement to avoid stalemates and an attack obligation for the invader like DBN are worth considering. Cheers Jim

It’s good to see those Vikings, coming over here, pinching our land, getting their comeuppance.
