Good News Everyone.
Due to the generous sponsorship of Irregular Miniatures and the organisers decision not to charge for the trophies I'm delighted to announce that the entry price for this competition has been reduced to £5. (Please bring your £5 note with you on the day.) This is the same as the entry price to the show so in effect you're getting the DBA competition for FREE!
Timings are as above in my reply to Thomas, i.e. Registration from 9.30 - 9.45, first game around 9.50, 6 rounds and aim to finish with prize giving at about 5pm so out by 5.30 at the latest.
Magna are providing catering, with 3 bars in the event hall serving cold food, and full meals in their Red Hall by the entrance, however please note that Magna's catering will not accept cash, so card only!
There should be a Bring and Buy at the show so if you have anything to sell please use that.
So far we have the following people expressing interest in attending:
Paul M
Baldie
Lulu Spargo
Ken Gordon
Thomas W
Pete Davis
Rob Rush
Colin Alcock
Tim Rogers
John Saunders
Phil Steele
Martin Myers
Paddy Myers
Stevie Andrews
All players will need to bring a legal DBA 3.0 15mm army on 40mm bases and set terrain pieces to go with the army, which must be attempted to be placed by the using player.
The army and it's terrain will be used by other players so please provide a sheet detailing the army composition, its aggression factor and the supplied terrain.
Any legal army is allowed and this can include allies and dismounting troops if preferred.
Players will not have to play with their own army so it's assumed players will bring the worst army they can think of and there is a trophy for the player who brings the worst performing army.
Players will also need to provide a means of transporting the army and terrain around from round to round.
Scoring system will be 6 points for a win. The loser or any draws scores the number of normal DBA scoring elements killed, i.e. 0 for Hd but 2 for a General etc.
Priority will be given to try and ensure people don't play the same person or use the same army more than once.
I'll email interested parties with a couple of further details so if anyone else is interested in attending please let me know ASAP and let me have your email address.
Thanks
