As a follow on to a blog I did a few weeks ago on banners, I have a request to the group. I really enjoy using Pete's Flags banners, but he works only in certain periods and only has a small portion of his work available for sale at any time. I'm looking for European and Isles flags in 15mm from Late Western Rome up to the War of the Roses for various armies. I know of Vexillia has an interesting selection but the postage for a few slips of paper to the US is a bit of a stunner. Essex seems to have a range the covers what I'm interested but they're adhesive ( and I'm not so sure of that) plus, again, there doesn't seem to be a US source so silly high postage. Little Big Men studios has a solid array of offerings but they are all decals for foil. ( I would if possible like to stick to paper flags).
So, with that laid out there. Do folks know of other quality ranges that someone in the US may acquire?

ATM I have a black and white HP laserjet. Not really the stuff to get the best printed file I suppose I could take the files to a print shop with a memory stick but...

Roland, Another option is to print the flags on a ‘grey scale’ and add colour with your paints. Once the flags are curled most details will not be seen.

...you could do all flags & banners you need by yourself. All you need is a color printer & paper in the quality you prefer. That Bohemian banner for example you can need for free:

Well, as luck would have it I did find the resolution I was seeking. I had been wanting to find a vendor as I have many banner sets I will be in need of, however I also want to reproduce my own banners that I can share with others. I hadn't wanted to invest in a new printer to replace my old black and white HP, however, I just located a color LaserJet Pro printer for a crazy good price, so thank you. This little thread pushed me into the camp of printing my own flags after all.

well I just took delivery of my HP LaserJet Pro 225 and initial trials are very promising indeed. Spending a lot of time getting the rescaling of existing files to my liking. Easiest thing I've found there is to remember that a pixel is .26mm and use that as my definitive reference. Looking forward to posting results on my blog.
