Had first wargame with er indoors.
My Ancient British vs EIR
Gemma chose to be Rome, partly cos they look good mainly cos she ain't stupid.
Rome actually defended so three plough and some scrub.
My light horse and psiloi got into a scrap with some aux on my right wing, my chariots faced off against cav and light horse on my left.
Scorpion took out a warband on way in, and Roman cavalry killed a chariot. Main lines clashed and one of my warband bounced off the artillery who had taken out their mates. Another warband bounced from some blades and the Roman general chopped up a warband, 3-0 to Rome. Big baldie the British general murderised a blade to bring it to 3-1.
Rome had put some holes in the British line though and some of my units got hard flanked(I dont care that's what I call it), game ended up 5-1.
I think it is fair to say she tolerated the game rather than enjoyed/ understood it but a game is a game. 20 years and a global pandemic is all it took.
Ps i have no idea if a comma can follow a bracket or not!
