Some of us have gotten to know Giuseppe of "Legio Heroica Miniatures", via correspondence, purchases, etc. I reached out to him yesterday, knowing that Brescia, Italy (like my own Seattle) is one of the hotspots of this current unpleasantness. Here are excerpts of his reply. (I wish my Italian were anything like his command of English.)
Yes, our two towns are both living a very difficult moment. Brescia, my town, is now in the "red zone", so I'm here closed in my home with my wife and there's nothing much else that we can do; fortunately my home is surrounded by country so, somehow, we're in a fairly safe place, but I hear the sound of ambulances all day and the elderly are dying by the dozen.
I hope that the situation can be a little better than ours there in Seattle, even if I'm hearing that now the virus is advancing in all of the US too: Only quarantine can defy this virus, so the only thing to do is to close almost everything, remain indoors and let the storm pass...
