Moving right along here. Got my II/15 elephant painted up and it looks spectacular. I'm just waiting on the rider before I can call it complete. I also painted up the Boudica light chariot for a general stand on my II/53 army. I have the foot Boudica painted up to match, and will clean & paint a couple of spare figures to build an infantry general stand option too. I have a light chariot with woaded, ridgepole-running warrior painted up, that is just waiting on horses and river to arrive.
I am now shifting gears slightly, and getting started on the Magister Militum Meerkatmen HOTT army. I should have grabbed local copies of all the example painted figures since it seems I mostly cleared them out and now most of the listings are pulled. I got enough to give me some inspiration.

Macbeth That sounds like a good piece of work to achieve in a busy weekend schedule. I thinka Hch general and Spear dismounted version would take me a good week to complete from packet to basing. Well done CarlL

CarlL Yeah, I'm inspired right now and going with it. I've also gotten comfortable with the slap chop method using Army Painter's Speedpaints. That moves things along really fast and the figures look good (or at least good enough on the table). I've also gotten a good assembly-line mindset and process worked out that moves things along. I am getting back to enjoying the painting, but the end goal is the driving force (especially with the HOTT armies--it'll get my wife to play).

The guy on the left is 15mm from QRF, I don't recall the code, and the guy on the right (I believe) is a 15mm Warmodelling rider on an Essex horse. Though when I say 15mm it's more of a Xyston 15mm, whatever that is.

Just for those that don’t have FB here’s some pics of my latest effort. 2/59 Jewish Revolt. All xyston figs bar one. Not sure if this will work but here goes….. Click on the thumbnail for a larger pic. Army arrayed (note the standard is missing at this point because I cleaned my desk and had put it in the bin - 30 mins of frantic searching later….) General - High priest and 4Ax Psiloi Warband - Zealots Hd - more zealots, women and children Hd Rabbis (yes and rabbits - misread my painting notes!) and Galileans in women’s clothes Camp: Brian paints the wall under the watchful eye of the centurion.
