I have been lucky enough to see the original in Bayeux. I have also seen the Victorian copy in Reading, following a prompt from the previous fanaticus. This week I saw a third. It is a painted replica on a metal mosaic, to scale. The creators took 33 years to make it. They researched the period and have added Fulford, Stamford Bridge and the sieges of Dover and London including borders and Latin text. It is currently at SOFO in Woodstock, Oxon.
