Pictures now posted on the DBA Facebook page showing my initial attempts at dust clouds. For those that can access this I'd be interested which people think is most representative.
Four of the painted figures included for context.

I presume that's similar to the material featured in the FOW article on Facebook? Yes that looks as if it gives just the sort of effect I'm after. The cotton wool wasn't really giving the light, airy fluffy effect but tended to clump and solidify if you applied either paint or glue. Cheers

Kapok is used for stuffing teddy-bears and other soft toys.

Yep, those look like 4Kn alright! Ah but the problem is that despite what it says in the army lists, if you laid out this army with 7 Kn elements and your opponent was on the ball, they would know that at least 4 of them were horde, because Kn aren't an option for the dust throwing women! Admittedly which 4 elements were actually Hd would be a surprise (and would you feel you had to write this down beforehand to avoid accusations of choosing in bound 2 when maybe you had a better idea of where you really wanted them?) However if you put out 4 x 6Cv the opponent wouldn't know until the second bound what they really were! Hence one of my next projects is 4 lots of 6 bow armed cavalry chained together! Interestingly, although the army lists says you can have 4 x LH horse archers or the dust throwing women, in the text it says you can only represent them by Kn or Cv elements!
