I tend to err on the side of conservative interpretations (because they can always be done) and it looks like I had overlooked the fact that it looks like 8Cb and 8Bw can get side support from Solid Blades.
Normally +4 vs. mounted and +3 vs. foot
+1 for side support would make them +4/+4.
Is this correct?

I haven't seen Early Persian armies used often, but I have suspect they will feature more, even if Sp are limited.
