So, after paddy649 noted that the Pre-Vedic Indians also had a 3PK core (one option) I decided that I had enough of the old Minifig javelin and bowman (Z-82 and 83) to create that army as well.
One consideration though is that it contains 4 elements of PS slingers and an option for 2 3AX elements of javelin (Kulli highlanders).
Now what pictures I see of Harrapans have them with a fillet and no 'man bun' hairstyle.
I do have some later slingers with the 'bun,' but would prefer to be consistent (and reasonably historically accurate).
Currently I have some of the Midianite Arab slingers and javelins from Essex that I am planning to use (they can always be shifted to the next Midianite army I paint). They do have beards, but the hair is not bad.
Are there any other figures out there that might be appropriate?
I have looked at (and have links to) most of the manufacturers and can't recall any Indians that would fit (matter of fact, I haven't found the manufacturer for those latter slingers).
As I note, I can get by with the Midianites, but it would be nice to have more correct figures.

Goragrad, Your attention to detail does you credit but far exceeds my own.
I think your options are: Essex Miniatures BS27 Midianite Arab: Slinger - this gets closest and I think I'd be able to live with the beard. Essex Miniatures BS56 Mycenaean & Minoan Greek: Slinger - but think you'd need to green stuff some texture into the loin cloth. Essex Miniatures BS128 Generic Irregular Infantry: Assorted slingers - gets close
However, because my base army are all Magister Militum figures (ex Chariot) I think I'd go for either: KUE3 Kushite Slingers - and convert to take of the headdress etc. MYG8 Mycenaean Slingers - and use it as a dolly to tin foil and green stuff a loin cloth.
Probably KUE3 is easiest! As long as the painting and basing style is consistent you can normally get away with murder.

As I am doing both of the Book I and all 3 of the early Book II Indians (and the Greco-Indian and Indo-Bactrian in the not distant future, I just want to have a bit visual distinction between them along with the nod to historical detail.
As I am at this time using Minfig javelin for my Mountain and Pre-Vedic 3PK I am being a bit inconsistent.
I appreciate the option list. I looked though my packs of BS-128s and have already tasked some of them for the OKE army (at least until I pick up some - the Essex RMA only came with 8). So it is probably the BS-27s, as you note probably the best match of the Essex lot and I have them (although I will need a few more for the next batch of Midianites). Besides, there was some interaction between India and the Arabian Peninsula and the Harrappans were in the northwesterly region of India so a little blend?
Reading your reply and thinking a bit has me reconsidering the BS-26 for the Kulli highlander 3AX. For a bit more differentiation (and not having a reference to gainsay it) sorting through my packs of BS-124 generic javelin should provide a bit more variety.

Those Greco-Indian and Indo-Bactrian armies are irritating me at the moment - particularly the Phalangites. Given that the rest of my Indian figures are Magister Militum should I go for: SEL7 Selicud Phalangite Pikemen (which are basically pantodapoi) or ALM9 Phalangite Pikemen or ALM4 Phalangite/Hypaspist Pikemen? None of them quite fit the bill - but I reckon that the pantodapoi may be the least worst.

Currently I am just painting up some of my OG15 Successor phalangites for use with the two armies.
I have 24 of the Essex MPA69 and 12 of the Black Hat HE50 which match the illustration in the original Armies of the Macedonian and Punic Wars. Not quite enough for the BBDBA army, hence the OG15 Seleucid (who will eventually head west where they belong). The new edition has apparently seen some changes, but I don't know if that is one.
As to staying with Chariot, the SEL Pantodopai are probably the best bet.
