Tony - thanks - excellent as ever. Thanks. One of the really nice things about your videos (please don't stop) it that it lets you see many other armies in action. I own relatively few armies and certainly no Early Armenian, Pergamene or Kappadokian.....so it was really good to see them in action and then look at where figures may be sourced from etc. I do like the Xyston Kappadokians.....Hmmmm. I would not be that bothered about rule questions when they arise. I learn far more about DBA 3.0 from playing other people and learning how they play. Your videos are another way of learning and playing the game vicariously. So as long as it is pleasant, constructive and friendly I think it helps. So please keep them coming! Paddy Got to agree here. Your videos are helping me to keep focused on painting figures and I am learning a lot from watching. Keep up the good work!

Really good video battle reports. I like to the camera angle of the Scots versus Picts game. It gives a very nice overview of the entire playing area. Tony, you might mention to Mitch that if an element hits the flank of the supporting element, the supporting element does not turn, but gives the front the element of -1. There is a long discussion of this in the rules section under mutual side contact. It did not matter in the game because contact was made on the front element.
I enjoyed watching the Picts as I have an army of these and wondered what the fast Pike would do. Mitch Handled these very well, stretching out at first, and then doubling up where he needed to. I would not of thought about doubling the light horse but he did a good job of that.
Keep the shows coming.

I think we will stick with this angle but we need to resolve what is causing the camera to jitter at times as neither of us were that close to it. As far as the supporting element does not turn, Mitch is actually the "expert" of us on that and has to remind me of it since I am still unlearning how it was handled on the hundreds of other versions of DBA. Did we miss one of those situations?

It was clear in the last two videos that both of you are wearing microphones. Is that correct?

Yes, since there were only two of us in the video we just each used a lapel mic instead of using one mic for everyone which I usually just tape to the lamp. I'm not sure that the sound quality inproved, though.

This is an item I may need when we start using Skype to play DBA internationally.

I just compared the videos with lapel mics and with a "communal" one and the individual ones provide less echo.

Is either of you moving the table some how ?

I just watched Middle Imperial Roman East vs. Palmyran DBA 3.0. Good to see artillery in action, and lots of bow shooting. Very exciting. Tony down quickly down 3, but then slowly making a comeback so it ended up at 4 to 3. A couple things to remember. Blades are plus 4 to shooting not +5. It is legal for an element to contact the front corner of an enemy, with no friendly element in front of the enemy. See last item (d). I think that is what this means.
"At the end of the bound's movement phase the contacting element or at least one element of a contacting group must be lined-up with an enemy element, either; (a) in full mutual front edge contact, (b) in full front edge to rear edge contact, or (c) in front edge to side edge contact with front corners in contact, or (d) with no enemy in contact to its front, but in overlap (see p.10)."

Enjoyed the 'Breakfast Show' this morning with a coffee and croissant. Unfortunately, my croissant was finished before the 30 minute mark...and there was more video to view.
Good battle and nice to see more terrain on the board.

Nice one again
I was going to do an Epic 40K report on you tube but got stuffed so badly I forgot to take many pics.
NY resolution is to do a Video DBA report but may find it hard to blank out the expletives when loosing, you guys seem to have great self control or good editing abilities

Oops on the +5 to shooting - still trying to get the last vestiges of 2.2 out of the brain. As far as corner to corner contact goes, I have never seen it allowed if no one is in contact to the front. It becomes an illegal contact to move into, unless you move a unit into contact with their front edge FIRST and then with another PIP move a second unit into an corner contact position.
