Book 1 is great, prob not popular but great I must admit I was never a fan of book 1 armies, maybe because if you mention anything biblical I switch off. However, I morphed my Hsuing nu to do the earlier Hu and it escalated from there.

However, I morphed my Hsuing nu to do the earlier Hu and it escalated from there. There is lots of Book 1 that has nothing biblical to it (Indians/Far East etc.) since it does not necessarily take place in the Levant. I am not a fan of Book 1 armies because I find a lack of interesting equipment/color schemes for them and too much I have to "pull out of my nether regions." There just isn't much info on things of this era. I also love flags, so kind of a non-starter for me to build these armies which have none. With that said the army troop type make ups are interesting in Book 1 so I have no problem playing them, but with a limited time to build armies I will pick and chose to build other periods.

Could not Sea People kilts, Persian or Syrian tunics, Mythical and Classical Greek or Early Italian shield logos feathered Libyans or Kushites not tempt your interest Tony?... Although it could merely totems used for standards. 😊 The Vietnamese lists also offer an army with flags option. 😁

However, I am not in the mood to but new figures (yet.)

From Russian with Love youtu.be/bSVgsK-XLM0I just recently completed my Early Russian army and this video is their first video appearance. This is a series of four battles using De Bellis Antiquitatis 3.0 with some of the more common matchups of this army. I use my newly finished Early Russians III/79 Mitch plays the following enemies of them: Early Polish III/63a Early Polish III/63b Teutonic Order IV/30 Mongol Conquest IV/35 Most of these battles were real nail biters so check them out. Hi Tony.
Is your Waterway a Deep Cut Studio river with one bank removed? I love their work Just used the cobblestone roads for Zombicide Black Plague. I'd love more neoprene as underlays for DBA terrain.
Cheers
Jim
