I recently finished a 15mm caveman army for HotT and thought I' share some photos. All of the miniatures, except one, are from Khurasan Miniatures range. The complete army. Warband. Lurkers and Beast Heroes - The fine fellow with the Smilodon companion is loosely based on the cover art of the computer game, Farycry Primal. Shaman or Magician. Another view of the Shaman/Magician. 'CAPTAIN CAVEMAAAN!!!'I plan to add a few elements periodically along with the opposing force of associated critters, including some 'Apemen' based on those in the early 1980's movie 'Quest for Fire'. I am undecided about the stronghold. I will either use the cave featured in the beginning of the aforementioned movie, the island in the swamp where the refugees gather after the attack on the cave or make a selection of hide huts.

Lovely looking army, and well presented, too....which would be the general? Shaman, perhaps? Or is it the Hero with super-sized pussycat?
The basing, and especially the vegetation, is very convincing, as well.
Cheers

Thanks Martin,
I was thinking of using one of the Heroes as the General's element.
I based the vegetation loosely on the console/computer game Farcry Primal.
Kind Regards, Barry

Great looking army Barry! Your work is always a delight to see.
I have a similar army based on the movie 10,000 BC, but alas it sits in the queue to be painted. Seeing your army makes me want to get cracking on it!

I thought I'd share some photos of the enemy to the Cavemen and Women... The Beasties! The critters so far - The Mammoths - Behemoths These are Mojo - Animal Planet toys that I picked up rather cheap. Sarbretooth Tigers - Beast These miniatures by Khurasan Miniature Wooly Rhino - Knights Again these are by Khurasan Miniatures Terror Birds - Beast Khurasan Miniatures... again... Wolves - Beast Splintered Light Miniatures this time! Cave Bear - Lurker From Copplestone Castings. Cave Bear MKII - Lurker This fine fellow is from Mick Yarrow Miniature (MY Miniatures). Apemen... - Warband These miniatures are from Khurasan Miniatures. I decided to add some elements after watching 'Quest For Fire'. I seldom play games these days and have very little experience with HotT. Like my Arthurian HotT armies, I just enjoyed painting the army up. I am not too fussed by the make up of the army or the element type or how the army plays and may well change some of the element types over time or suggestions are made. Finally, even though it's not related to HotT, I thought I'd share it here. A dice holder. This is designed to hold the D8 used for determining the direction the fire moves when playing Tusk.

Finally finished a Stronghold for the Cavemen, women and children. The cave back is open so I decided to add some very poorly drawn (painted), art...

You need to play some games and get this guys on the table. Are you based in the states?
Nice dice holder we use d8s to represent the elder races (Dwavres and Elves), so could use your dice holder.

Thanks for the kind words Gentlemen.
Tom - I live in regional South Australia. I am fortunate to have a close friend and family who will roll the dice in opposition, however, I rarely do preferring to paint and model terrain to the actual gaming.
Greg - The cave was built using bark chips and was a little 'tetris' like in its construction. Once I was happy with the fit, copious amounts of glue were used to set it all in place. Once dry gaps were filled with caulking and thinned down caulking was painted over the structure. After that it was textured, painted and flocked.
