It looks like everyone had a good time and those armies are quite inspiring. I particularly like the Barsoomian figures. That Manhattan skyline is great idea.

It was a fun day, and I had a supremely lucky morning...as Pete D will testify !! All those tripods/dragons in a chaotic melee that went against my expectations.
Thanks for the kind comments on the Manhattan skyline- it's a reworked tourist souvenir from NYC - geographically very 'wrong' , with Liberty standing next to Brooklyn Bridge etc, but suited the flavour of the Defenders of Earth army, which are primarily US troops (Pendraken 10mm, plus 1/300 bomber, I think).
And yes the Barsoom Red Martian army (Chris Pryme) was excellent. Beautifully presented Black Hat/Gladiator Games miniatures, with a wicked ability to stop my general's jeep in its tracks....doh 😳
May get a chance for more pics later, when I can work out how to shift them from my new (to me) phone......
Cheers

The 2017 Good, Bad and Ugly International Tournament marches on, with the Shetlands Leg coming up September 17th. Mike McEwan runs that Leg, and has a good group of gamers who via for the win.
After that we won't have another Leg until October. Stay tuned, and remember - "Look to the skies!"

The 2017 Good, Bad and Ugly International HOTT Tournament continues with the Atlanta and the Nashville Legs being played this coming Saturday.
Tom Thomas is the Coordinator for the Atlanta Leg, and I am the Coordinator for the Nashville Leg.
A special treat for this years Nashville Leg will be having Pete Duckworth of Coventry, England joining us. Pete will be the first player to have played in two Legs of the tournament in the same year, as he has already participated in the Staines Leg held last month. The Nashville DBA/HOTT Group extend a hearty welcome to Pete, and to any other gamers who want to join us.
Folks are always welcome and most, if not all, Legs have loaner armies available. Even if you're not familiar with the HOTT rules, this is a great opportunity to learn. The primary objective of this tournament is to have fun and share a common theme with fellow gamers around the world.

Have pictures of our event - won by Catherine Thomas using her (infamous) Melsandra and Stannis combo - but can't seem to copy them here. The pictures are posted on the HOTT/DBA Facebook page.
