I'm looking at building a generic army to model the Bruttians (II/9a) and Samnites (II/13). Can anyone make suggestions on possible manufacturers with suitable 15mm lines?
I'm keen for the figures to be of comparable size to Essex and Corvus Belli who they will often need to assist as allies.
Since posting this I see that Timecast look like they stock Old Glory. Are these likely mix with Essex and Corvus Belli?

Well, Chariot, Donnington and Mirliton should all have suitable figures. There's also the War and Empire figures from Forged in Battle.

Keith, I have successfully mixed Old Glory with Essex. Cannot comment regarding Corvus Belli

Tin soldier are a bit quirky. They don't really mix with other ranges although they are of comparable size. They would seem to be suitable for a complete army of the type you describe but I would have a look at a few before buying them. Scott

I made my southern Italians with mainly Donnington , Chariot , Irregular and Essex . They all fit in well together in my eyes . The advantage of Donnington is that they have a wide range of Italians and sell in small quantities whereby you can get a lot of variety per base element , and they paint up very well . I still have some old ( unpainted) Tin Soldier figures but to my mind they are too cartoonish to mix with the other brands .
