Since there are only two DBA events at Historicon 2017, will the 15mm Tournament be the NICT?

Tony:
My plan was to run the NICT at the same time as the 15mm tournament. If we have enough interest, I will also run a Not the NICT tournament at the same time.

I managed to get Friday and Saturday off that weekend. Hope the events may be on one or both days. I would love to see the NICT be some form of double elimination format. I think Bob meant Fall In, not Cold Wars.....

DBA events are on Saturday.
I would consider double elim but given the relatively small number of players I thought a conventional 3 round event would be enough.
Feedback welcome.

Thomas DBA Tsar USA TomAndKate@aol.com There is no Davis Sheppard - that is David Shepps from Michigan. David Shepps is the player who played at Recon and was kind enough to fly down and join us (and has already made arrangements for Hurricon 2017 as well.)

To clarify:
David Shepps is qualified for winning the Enemy of my Enemy DBA Tournament at Recon 2017.
(Tony you listed a "David Sheppard with African Vandal 2-1 50 Points" in your results for Armies of Africa Tournament - so this is really David Shepps?)
Another addition:
Charles Zwinak winner 15mm Open Adepticon - Bob Beattie GM
See you all at Historicon.

I've been asked about 2.2 armies and allies. My intention is to not allow allies for 2.2 lists. I'm only including them to allow legacy armies. If you want to use the ally rule you need to go with 3.0 lists.
But I would consider case by case exceptions were it did not seem to convey and advantage.
What does every one else think?

You are moving along to a good event. Quite a few qualifiers. In the old days, we did a World Cup soccer style event. Pools of 4 within time periods, and then the winners of the pools playing in finals. If 8 players then every one gets 3 games with winners one more. If an odd number then one group does swiss chess and the others round robin.
2.0 lists (no change in 2.2) with allies seems too much. Allow 2.0 armies but as you say, if you want allies go with 3.0. Recall that Phil says that any 2.0 army will convert to 3.0, in any event.
