No. There is no official interpretation as there haven't been many questions. Nothing blocks a threat zone.

LOL thanks joe Thanks . I have played at a local club where no one plays this way . Just trying to have a local tourney (them included ) so I expect some questions . about "Nothing blocks a threat zone."

I still on occasion fall back to earlier rules just out of habit. Joe Collins

Please understand the no one is advocating rear ranks be allowed to move in a Threat Zone only that different units be allowed to move behind the line if an enemy is completely blocked. Anything giving Rear Support for instance should be caught in TZ but not separate units intended to plug gaps.
As an example of why X-Ray does not work - consider if my opponent has two elements lined up and my element is in both threat zones - but one is behind a friendly element my element will still heroically advance right into the unoccupied enemy element and go into contact - BUT if the enemy only has one element my element can't advance and go into overlap position (the exact same move as above but with the difference that it is now unopposed) even though it faces no enemy and is reinforcing an attack on the very element it is for some reason too terrified of to a advance (but has no such terror if the enemy has two elements!)
