While moving, I grabbed all of my ancients to pull them together and sort. After filling nearly an entire Plano box with warband elements I felt that I may have gone a little overboard. I found 72 Warband Elements. None are completely finished, but you can see from top to bottom how it progresses ha!

Ha! My goal is to finish all of my Gauls and the Romans by Octoberish. The Gauls take so long due to randomizing and I am even taking shortcuts.
This is why I want to play very big battles...

You are not a true wargamer unless you have more unpainted figures than painted figures. We all collect, intending to paint.

All my figures are painted and any unpainted lead I have is recently ordered and quickly painted up.

Sir! I stand in awe! I placed an order with TimeCast this morning for the items needed to build a Carthaginian army, two packs of cavalry and spearmen. It seemed odd that I built four Spanish armies, two Numidian (with elephants) and a Gallic army but did not have a Carthaginian.
Me thinks Project Rome will now include the Spanish campaign of 218 - 201 BC. Stay tuned.

I know some people only buy then paint the figures, so no spares, but they are so few and far between, I think I can honestly say that the ones I have known since 1964 can be counted on my two thumbs (error plus or minus one).
In the past we have tended to buy figures because we like them, they are on special offer, or for projects, I have been like that.
Anybody who has painted all the figures they have must have very good will power, or only visit from the North Pole to buy figures once a year.
