Simon - if you'd seen me play in your last competition at Bakewell, that's exactly how you'd describe me!
Baldie - I wasn't proposing to come and play, just watch, encourage some other local, new DBA players and, if asked, give you my understanding of the rules, which may or may not equate to other peoples, particularly Mr Barker's!
I'll have to check the calendar, but what time and where? Cheers Mark

Perhaps you and some of the Barnsley boys can make it down to Bakewell on 14 October - it would be great to see you.

Sure is, we will hopefully get sorted for those who are playing next week It is more of a gaming day playing DBA than a highly organised gaming tourney
Only rules are bring a list from the book, stick with same list all day including same optional bits in each game
Camp only needs to be a base if that's all you got as some of the lads are still sticking figs to bases let alone doing a base up
Games are 1hr long with a loss for both sides if it is not finished on time, keep a log of bases killed as this will be used for any deciders
Those who don't like to see HYW French fighting the Romans please be sympathetic as idea is to get peeps interested in historical gaming and historical match ups over time

Really enjoyed the day, sorry my Britons were not able to put up a good fight in most games Ancient Brits can be very hard to win with. Especially at an Open style tournament......however, they're fun to use, and nice n fast moving with v3. It sounds like a good day. Are they planning more?

Love my Brits mainly cos they are painted, I went at it to get the infantry finished for HC then ran out of steam with the cavalry. Must get on with em then their Roman opponents.
Great day and with seven games done without rushing all went well.
Only thing is I hardly took any pics despite loosing on turn two twice.
We will def be doing more, as long as Colin lets us. Def going to Bakewell in October and as I love crazy charges, too long playing Russians and O&G, the Brits will probably be there.
If at first you don't succeed charge, charge and charge again. Maahh

There is nobody games up here North of the Wall apart from me and one or two of the lads at the local club...otherwise it's WW2 or Spacemonkeys.
